The Subsea Umbilical Termination Assembly, sitting on top of a mud mat, is a multi-plexed electro-hydraulic system that allows many subsea control modules to be connected to the same communications, electrical and hydraulic supply lines. The result is that many wells can be controlled via one umbilical. From the UTA, the connections to the individual wells and SCMs are made with jumper assemblies.
For these critical subsea systems, the highest connection integrity is required for the instrument tubing connections within the SUTU, and NIPUNN’s approved fabricators are qualified to perform both orbital and autogenously welding in-house, to the highest standards.
